Job Descriptions

We are looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing supply chain projects to ensure efficient and effective operations. You will play a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of supply chain projects from initiation to completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop project plans, including resource allocation, task assignment, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  1. Process Improvement and Optimization:
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain function.
  • Analyze existing supply chain processes and systems, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  1. Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and strategic partnerships to improve supply chain efficiency.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including production, sales, marketing, and finance teams, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to leverage technology solutions and systems to enhance supply chain visibility and automation.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to drive alignment and achieve project goals.
  1. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate project progress, KPIs, and achievements.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present project updates and performance reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Project Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Kuwaiti supply chain regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
